Book Bongani for Singing Perfomances, MC Work & Voice Overs

Author: KAMAK Productions, 2 July 2009

Born in KwaZulu Natal, bred in the Township and influenced by the Ghetto lifestyle, Bongani’s sultry voice of the morning traffic on radio is adored by many. This singer/songwriter’s journey to stardom has been far from flawless, but he has always soared. His quest for survival has seen him hustling from being a street kid, garden boy, shop cleaner and cashier, to club DJ, Karaoke compere and eventually to becoming the currently adored radio personality, world acclaimed singer and entrepreneur.

Bongani released his self titled album in May 2009 – and is already taking the South African music scene by storm. The album is a true reflection of who he is, expresses how he has grown and matured (like vintage wine) over time within the music industry. His groundbreaking sound of an amalgamation of Scathamiya, Mbaqanga grooves, Motown, and 70s – 80s music is certainly sophisticated, yet identifiable and friendly on everyone’s ear. This album combines the unmistakably nostalgic and familiar with heartfelt Mzansi vibes exhibiting his charmer-boy subtleties. It features some of your favourite hits such as Back for Good, December 63, the Afrikaans hit; Loslappie and some of his own original songs like Wedding day, Time to Dance and Yellow people Hello. The album is licensed and marketed by Kamak Productions and distributed by IRIS
