Hi there metalheads of the world! It is with mixed feelings and great trepidation that i write this. The Boston Rock Lounge is embarking on an uncharted course as this Friday sees us host our FIRST INTERNATIONAL act. Welcome to the band CDC and their entourage! May your stay in sunny SA be a most memorable one, guys.
Trepidation, yes. Because finally BRL is being noticed in music circles as a legitimate indoor music venue. We boast a two tier stage and ample standing room for you to rock your head off. The bar area is spacious and our big screen is visible from any vantage point in the club. The walls around the bar area are adorned with original LP covers and vinyls from rock bands of days gone by.
My brother ( the owner) and i grew up with rock and BRL is our rememberance, our shrine to the music medium that meant so much to us through the years. This is our way of giving back :- by providing a showcase for local and international acts. We can't wait to host CDC and show SA and the world that we are here to stay and able to host such events. The club is in a revamp stage and although it might not fall in everyone's taste now, it will surely attract attention when all the renovations are done. It is never the less functional and very, very hardcore! Pull in, let yer hair down and headbang like demons!
Lastly i want to add something to get the Metal gears in your head working....... We are working on a bosveld venue that could see us host upwards of 10 000 people at a time. A venue that could be better than any rock show you've been to, S'TRUTH!
For now, though, pull into the Boston Rock Lounge on Friday and enjoy the best that Metal has to offer! There's much more to come! See ya there!!!
